Katherine Rich
Katherine Rich is a distinguished New Zealand leader with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.
She served as a Member of Parliament for the National Party from 1999 to 2008, during which she held various spokesperson roles, including those for Arts, Culture and Heritage, Broadcasting, Employment, Social Services, and Education.
Following her parliamentary career, Katherine became the Chief Executive of the New Zealand Food & Grocery Council in 2009, advocating for companies in the food and fast-moving consumer goods sectors.
In August 2024, she was appointed Chief Executive of BusinessNZ, further solidifying her influence in the business community.
Katherine holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Otago. Her career also includes roles such as Project Analyst at the Ministry of Agriculture and Marketing Manager at Alliance Textiles Ltd.
Her leadership and advocacy have significantly impacted New Zealand's business landscape, making her a prominent figure in the country's economic development.
