Frequently asked questions

When should we book a speaker for International Women's Day?
As early as possible. International Women's Day (8 March) is one of the busiest days of the year for women speakers, and the most in-demand names are often booked months ahead. We recommend enquiring by early December. Many organisations also hold events across the whole week, which can open up more availability.

Are women in leadership talks only for women?
No. These talks work just as well for mixed audiences and whole organisations. Many clients book them for leadership teams, all-staff conferences and diversity and inclusion programmes, because the lessons on leading well, building a career and creating inclusive cultures apply to everyone.

Can we book several speakers for a panel?
Yes. A panel of two or three leaders from different backgrounds, such as business, public life and sport, is a popular format for International Women's Day and women's network events. We can also recommend a moderator to run it.

Can the talk be tailored to our organisation?
Yes. Our speakers meet with you before the event to understand your audience, your goals and where your organisation is on its diversity and inclusion journey. They then shape their stories around that.

How far in advance should we book at other times of the year?
We recommend booking 8–12 weeks ahead for most speakers, and earlier for the busy conference seasons (March to June and August to November). We can often arrange a speaker at short notice, so it's worth asking even if your event is close.

Do your speakers travel outside Auckland?
Yes. Our speakers present throughout New Zealand and Australia. Travel and accommodation are usually charged on top of the speaking fee, and we'll include them in your quote upfront.
