Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should we book a motivational speaker?
We recommend booking 8–12 weeks ahead for most speakers, and earlier for the busy conference seasons (March to June and August to November) or high-demand names such as former All Blacks. We can often arrange a speaker at short notice, so it's worth asking even if your event is close.
Should a motivational speaker open or close our event?
Both work well. A motivational speaker at the start sets the tone and lifts energy for the day ahead. A closing keynote sends people home on a high and helps your key message stick. If your programme is heavy on content, many organisers use a motivational speaker straight after lunch to re-energise the room.
Can a motivational talk be tailored to our organisation?
Yes. Our speakers meet with you before the event to understand your audience and what you're trying to achieve, whether that's getting through change, lifting performance or recognising a big year. They then link their story back to your theme.
What's the difference between a motivational speaker and a leadership speaker?
Motivational speakers focus on mindset, energy and personal stories that inspire action, and they work for any audience. Leadership speakers focus on how to lead people and teams, so they suit managers and executives. Many of our speakers do both, and we can help you decide which angle fits your event.
Do your speakers travel outside Auckland?
Yes. Our speakers present throughout New Zealand and Australia. Travel and accommodation are usually charged on top of the speaking fee, and we'll include them in your quote upfront.
