Tracey Spicer AM is a multiple Walkley Award-winning author, journalist, and broadcaster, renowned for her exceptional work as an anchor for national programs on ABC TV and radio, Network Ten, and Sky News.

As the pioneering national convenor of Women in Media, Tracey’s talents on stage and online have made her one of the most sought-after keynote speakers and emcees in the region. In recognition of her remarkable contributions, she was honoured as the NSW Premier’s Woman of the Year in 2019. Additionally, Tracey received the prestigious Sydney Peace Prize alongside Tarana Burke for their significant involvement in the Me Too movement, and she was the recipient of the national award for Excellence in Women’s Leadership by Women & Leadership Australia.

Tracey’s exceptional achievements continue to garner recognition. In 2018 she was chosen as one of the Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence, winning the esteemed Social Enterprise and Not-For-Profit category. Women’s Agenda also acknowledged her as the Agenda Setter of the Year. To acknowledge her three decades of dedication to the media and charity work, Tracey was awarded the Order of Australia.

Throughout her illustrious career, Tracey has written, produced, and presented captivating documentaries shedding light on the lives of women and girls in countries such as Bangladesh, Kenya, Uganda, Papua New Guinea, and India. She serves as an Ambassador for notable organisations including ActionAid, The Ethnic Business Awards Foundation, Emerge Australia and Purple Our World. Additionally, she proudly holds the position of Patron of the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance.

Tracey’s impact extends beyond her television and radio work. Her debut book, The Good Girl Stripped Bare, quickly became a bestseller. Moreover, her powerful TEDx Talk, The Lady Stripped Bare, has amassed over six million views. Her thought-provoking essays have been featured in numerous acclaimed books, including Women of Letters, She’s Having a Laugh, Father Figures, Unbreakable, and Bewitched & Bedevilled: Women Write the Gillard Years.

Most recently, Tracey’s invaluable contributions to the #metoo movement were highlighted in the three-part documentary series Silent No More, produced by the ABC. The series featured the stories of hidden survivors, further showcasing Tracey’s commitment to amplifying marginalised voices.

Amidst her engagements as an emcee and speaker at live and hybrid conferences, Tracey dedicates her time to corporate media and presentation training sessions. Her new book, Man-Made: How the bias of the past is built into the future, explores the hidden bias and inequity in artificial intelligence.
