Danielle Brown
Growing up, Danielle never imagined a future in sport—she struggled with most activities and was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome as a teen. At 15 she discovered archery, and by 18 she was world number one, a title she held throughout her career, all while completing a law degree with first-class honours.
Danielle won Paralympic gold in Beijing 2008 and again in London 2012, and became the first disabled athlete to represent England in an able-bodied discipline at the Commonwealth Games, winning gold in the team event.
Her career ended suddenly when classification changes excluded her from Paralympic competition. Rebuilding her identity off the field, she realised the mindset that powered her sporting success could help others face change and uncertainty.
Today, as a keynote speaker and inclusion advocate, she shares lessons on resilience, performance and inclusion—helping people adapt, push through setbacks and unlock what they’re capable of.
Topics that Danielle cover include: resilience, high-performance habits, adapting to change, performance mindset, inclusive language, disability inclusion and women’s empowerment.
