Victoria Mulligan

Victoria Mulligan is an internationally recognised futurist, who helps CEOs and their teams understand and influence the path ahead.
To do this she draws on an impressive toolkit influenced by psychology, design thinking and strategic foresight. Her unique skillset is recognised around the world; in 2024 she addressed the UN General Assembly in New York before flying to the Dubai Future Forum where she spoke to the world’s largest gathering of foresight practitioners.
While still a well-kept secret in the world of New Zealand business, she is a big name in the global futures space. Her international podcast The Futures Workshop explores the latest tools in futures thinking, and she has become famous for taking these tools and making them accessible for general audiences. In the past twelve months she has run sessions for all sorts of organisations: from kindergarten teachers, to government workers, to CEOs of some of NZ’s biggest businesses.
Originally trained as a psychologist, Victoria has held roles around the globe, including Africa, Papua New Guinea, the British Home Office, and Queensland’s Crime and Misconduct Commission. Her early work in crime and later in health led to extensive experience across the Pacific, where she used creative, human-focused approaches to address complex challenges at both global and local levels.
She has written for several industry and academic publications including a number of pieces for BusinessDesk’s business advice column.
Her keynote topics include futures and foresight, megatrends, human-centred design and new ways of working.
